Can I select my own benchmark criteria and select parts of the organization and/or surveys I want to see benchmarked for?

Yes, in the report pages that offer benchmark, you can via "Type of benchmark criteria" select "Use selected Benchmark group's criteria" to compare only the part of the organization and the surveys that feed to the selected Benchmark group.
