Group structure
A group structure follows the principle of a hierarchy – with the total at the top, followed by underlying summaries and respondent groups.
A group structure is ideal when you want results broken down by specific parameters, need control over who can access which results, and require more advanced analysis options.
-
Enables split results for easier comparisons (e.g. based on geography)
-
Choose to display result pages based on a specific group in the structure
-
Allows you to manage access rights for internal users (those who should see the results). For example, a manager for Country B can be granted access to results for Country B only
-
Background variables can be cross-analysed with groups in the structure
-
Export results to PowerPoint from any group within the structure
Importing Respondents
The import file is prepared in Excel and uploaded to Brilliant’s platform via what we call a batch import – importing many respondents at once. Respondents can be imported separately for different respondent groups and summaries, or all at once for the entire structure.
📌 Working with deep group structures, multiple summary levels, and background variables requires a good overview. It's an advantage to be comfortable using Excel and familiar with filters to check for errors or duplicates before import.
