Short & snappy on Question Modules
Question sets are pre-defined collections of questions that save time and add structure to your survey work. They make it easy to tailor content for different target groups, reuse question combinations, and ensure consistent questions are included for comparable results over time.
A question module is exactly what it sounds like: a module of questions. With question modules, it’s quick to send out surveys. Instead of selecting questions one by one, you choose one or more of your created modules and get all the relevant content at once. You can create as many modules as you want and tailor them to different target groups and purposes.
Question modules create structure and enable customised sets of questions that are easy to reuse, ensuring that specific surveys always contain the same questions. You structure the content of the question module according to what suits you best. For example, you could create a few larger modules with many different questions, or several smaller modules with fewer questions focusing on the same areas or similar topics. The question modules can be combined freely, and you can easily hide questions you don’t need when setting up your survey.
Good to know: A question can be included in multiple modules.
How to Use Question Modules
Imagine you want to survey three different areas with several questions per area, and you decide you need to ask 14 questions in total. You create three question modules, one for each area and add the relevant questions. You select your three modules, and all the questions in the modules are added to your survey.
Now you have a total of 17 questions in your survey, you see 3 questions you don’t need right now and hide those.
You now have your 14 questions ready and are set to send out the survey.
What if You Don’t Use Question Modules?
Without question modules, you would need to find and select your questions one by one. While this is not difficult, if you frequently measure and survey a variety of target groups with different purposes and participants, we recommend building your library in this way for a smooth workflow and to ensure the same content is always included. This is crucial for those who want to track trends and compare results over time.
