Why is not all action plans showing in the statistics?

A possible (and common) reason why action plans are not included in the action plan statistics is the "Time period" setting.

  • Here, action plans will be included if they were created within the selected time period. If an action plan has been created before or after the time period selected, regardless of the dates registered for activities in the action plan, it will not be counted in the statistics shown.

Another good thing to be aware of in the statistics pages for action plans is the "Surveys" setting; this setting controls whether you want to see action plans that are directly linked to a previously completed survey.

  • When a team creates a new action plan, they are initially given a choice as to whether the action plan should be linked to a specific survey or not. If the team chooses to link their action plan to a specific survey, this will be filtered in the statistics ("Surveys").

If the team chooses not to do this, to "unlink" the action plan, this action plan will not be visible at all in the statistics for action plans when it becomes active if, for example, an HR user has chosen to filter the "Surveys" setting by a specific survey.

It is difficult to know and control how teams around an organization choose to work with this, if you have not been very clear from the start about how teams should choose when creating their action plans. We therefore always recommend, if you want to ensure that you include all action plans in the statistics you produce, that you do not have any specific survey selected in this setting.
