How is the results calculated?
The questions are usually answered with the response scale 1 – 5, where 1 is the worst score and 5 is the best.
If your results are presented as an index, the results are calculated as below:
- Score 1 = 0
- Score 2 = 25
- Score 3 = 50
- Score 4 = 75
- Score 5 = 100
Example: If you have received three answers with a score of 1, four answers with a score of 2, no answers with a score of 3, five answers with a score of 4, and seven answers with a score of 5, it is calculated according to the following formula:
((3*0) + (4*25) + (0*50) + (5*75) + (7*100)) / (3+4+0+5+7) = 61.8
If you select to present the results as a score instead of an index, the formula appears as below (replace the value with the actual scores):
((3*1) + (4*2) + (0*3) + (5*4) + (7*5)) / (3+4+0+5+7) = 3.47
If questions are set with the response alternatives Yes and No, the yes score corresponds to 5 and the no score 1.
