What is the difference between "excluded from surveys" and "active"/"deactivated"?

When editing a user, in "Advanced", there is two settings that is easy to get confused and mix up. Here below you will find both of them explained:

  • "Status" (Active/deactivated) is a feature that lets a user get deactivated, and not be able to sign in to the platform. They also cannot participate in surveys. This function is best used for employees and managers who are, for example, on off duty leave or long-term sick leave.

  • “Excluded from surveys” is a feature that is well used for consultants, for example; these users can log in, if they have these permissions, but they cannot be added as participants to surveys.

Are you unsure about who should or should not participate in your survey? You can read more about this here: 📌 Who should participate in my survey(s)?
