Details & Response Rates
The most important aspect of an ongoing survey is to ensure that the distribution reaches the respondents and to actively monitor and follow up on the response rate.
You’ll find information about ongoing surveys right on the start page when you log in. There, you'll get a quick overview of the timeline, reminders, received responses, and response rate in %. To explore this further, you can click through to a more detailed view.
Details
The detailed view is also accessible via the main menu on the left under "Surveys" > "Active". There you'll find a list of all ongoing surveys, with the option to open a detailed view for each survey.
On the far right of each row, you'll find a small icon that takes you there. There, you'll find the following:
-
Respondents – View response rate per group and export to Excel.
-
Questions – See how the survey is structured with chapters and questions; export to Excel.
-
Communication – View detailed information and status for outgoing emails. This section shows a list of scheduled communication for your survey (e.g. reminders).
Keep an eye on the ‘Failed’ column to identify any issues with recipient email addresses. Common examples include incorrectly entered email addresses, full inboxes, or firewalls (often seen with non-work related email addresses, such as gmail, hotmail, etc., that can’t be whitelisted).

Response Rate
The response rate shows the percentage of respondents who have participated in the survey so far. A high response rate ensures that the feedback is representative and provides a solid basis for any potential actions in the organisation.
What is a good response rate? According to Brilliant’s Global Benchmark, response rates in recent years have ranged between 82–86%, which is considered a strong result.
The number of responses in a survey affects which results can be displayed. If there are too few responses, some results may not be shown due to anonymity requirements.
